Falklands, South Georgia and Antarctic Peninsula
Eighteen nights on Plancius, a round trip from Ushuaia through three of the Southern Ocean's great wildlife regions. The line's day by day visits Carcass and Saunders Island in the Falklands and the capital, Stanley, then spends four days in South Georgia among the king penguin colonies of Salisbury Plain, St Andrews Bay and Gold Harbour, with the walk to Stromness from Fortuna Bay and Shackleton's grave at Grytviken. The ship then heads south by the South Orkneys, where Shingle Cove holds an Adélie colony, to the Antarctic Peninsula, into the Weddell Sea if the ice allows, before the Drake Passage home.
