Ross Sea Odyssey

A 26-day exploratory voyage from Hobart to Dunedin aboard the Greg Mortimer, crossing the Antarctic Circle and cruising the pack ice along the Victoria Land Coast into the Ross Sea. Calls at the subantarctic islands, where yellow-eyed penguins waddle through rata forests, and, ice permitting, visits the remarkably preserved Heroic Age expedition huts. Cape Washington shelters one of the largest known emperor penguin colonies.
