Arusha National Park Private Day Trip and Walking Safari

Get out of the vehicle and walk among the wildlife. This private day trip from Arusha combines a game drive with a guided walking safari alongside an armed park ranger, with no long drives. Arusha National Park lies on the slopes of Mount Meru, 45 minutes from town. You pass the Ngurdoto Crater and the Momella Lakes, home to flamingos and hippos, and drive through forest where black-and-white colobus monkeys live. Giraffes, buffalo, zebras and warthogs are common, and on a clear day you can see Mount Kilimanjaro. Then you walk for about 2 hours with your ranger through open grassland, close to giraffes and buffalo, learning to read tracks and spot birds. A picnic lunch is served in the park. You travel in your own 4x4 Land Cruiser with a pop-up roof, and park fees, walking and ranger fees, lunch and water are all included.
