Banff 3 Hour Evening Wildlife Viewing Tour
Explore Banff’s quieter roads as evening approaches on a guided safari dedicated to finding wildlife. Your local guide chooses the route each day based on recent sightings, seasonal activity, weather and road conditions. Travel mainly in a warm vehicle along secondary highways and remote paved roads. When safe, you may stop for photographs or take a short walk to a viewpoint. Wildlife opportunities change with the seasons. In spring, watch for elk, deer, bighorn sheep and emerging bears. Summer brings longer evenings and berry season, when bear sightings may be more likely. Fall is elk rut season, with a chance to hear bulls bugling. In winter, look for elk, deer, bighorn sheep and tracks in the snow. Wolves and coyotes are possible but uncommon sightings. Your guide will share stories about animal behaviour and the Rockies’ ecosystems. Wildlife is wild, so sightings cannot be guaranteed, but every evening offers a new route and a chance to discover Banff.
