Half Day Around Etna

Trekking to the Sartorius Craters: We will walk along the famous "bottoniera" of 1865, an alignment of 7 extinct craters named after the geologist Sartorius von Waltershausen. We will cross a unique lunar landscape, characterized by the color contrast between the black volcanic sand, the lava bombs, and the white of the typical Etna Birch. Perched at the top, you will enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of the Ionian coast and the imposing recent lava flows. Speleological Exploration in the Grotta di Corruccio: Helmets and torches on, we will venture into the heart of the volcano to explore a suggestive lava tube. A fascinating experience guided in total safety, to understand how magma flows beneath the Earth's surface and creates real underground architectures.
