Intro to Seattle Mushroom Foraging
First-time foragers can learn to identify wild mushrooms safely on a guided, small-group walk through Washington’s lush green forests. In Seattle, you’ll examine edible species, toxic and inedible lookalikes, and the trees and ecosystems they grow near, while learning about mushroom seasons and common myths. Keep the mushrooms you find, and if wild specimens are scarce, take home fresh gourmet mushrooms with recipe ideas. Baskets, knives, gloves, a book, and hand warmers are supplied.
