Khasab Mountain Safari to Jebel Harim from Dubai
Jebel Harim is the highest mountain in the Musandam Peninsula, located in the northern part of Oman. The mountain is a prominent feature in the region, rising to an altitude of about 2,087 meters (6,850 feet) above sea level. It’s known for its rugged terrain, dramatic cliffs, and unique geological formations. The surrounding area is famous for its beautiful landscapes, including valleys, canyons, and lush greenery, which is quite different from the more arid parts of Oman. The name “Jebel Harim” translates to “Mountain of the Women” in Arabic, and there are several theories about the origin of the name. One theory suggests that it may be linked to the fact that the mountain is located near areas historically known for being places of refuge for women, or alternatively, it could be tied to cultural practices involving the separation of genders.
