Kyoto Kurama to Kibune Guided Forest Hike
Begin your journey by boarding the Eizan Railway, a scenic train ride with breathtaking views of lush green maples in the summer and vibrant red foliage in the fall. Arrive in Kurama, the birthplace of the Tengu Legend, and make your way to Kurama Temple. From there, embark on a hike to Kifune Shrine, immersing yourself in the serene atmosphere of the forest. Visit the Red Lantern Stairway at Kifune Shrine, and enjoy a satisfying day in Kibune's natural beauty. *Please Note: This itinerary does not include transportation from Kibune back to Demachiyanagi Station. You can find restaurants and cafes with beautiful environment in Kibune, some also provide seasonal Kawadoko dining experience (From May 1st to September 30th), with meals served on seating platforms built over the river. We recommend taking your time to enjoy lunch in Kibune before returning by bus or walking to Kibuneguchi Station, then taking the Eizan Railway back to Demachiyanagi Station.
