Landour Figure of Eight Walk
You can also call it the figure of 8 walk as the route make the figure 8.The area was established by the british in 1827 is the main catchment area of the old forest of deodar ,cedar ,Himaliyan oak ,chir pine , Blue pine , Himaliyan maple ,Rododendron , wild himaliyan pear,Horse chestnut etc ,provide various ecosystem services. This walk includes both food + nature , the restaurant distributing on certain kilometer distance provide the world’s best cuisine the walks into the woods give flavor to it. This Heritage walk includes the history of how an old forest turns into a mature town & some fairy tales of jhonpur village seen from there.
