Marrakech: Atlas Mountains Day Hike with Guide & Berber lunch
I will pick you up from your hotel from where we drive south towards the Moulay Brahim Gorges. In about 1h30, we will arrive at Asni village to visit a weekly market (Saturdays only). We will continue to Imlil village (1.740m), set in the upper level foothills of the Western High Atlas mountains. Here, we will leave our vehicle to enjoy a welcome glass of mint tea. After your tea, our hike begins! We will walk towards the south to the Berber village of Aroumd (1.843m) passing the hamlets. You will see Mount Toubkal, which is the highest peak in Morocco and in North Africa. The views will be amazing and I will tell you everything about the Berber lifestyle. The trek continues until we reach Ait-Souka village to have lunch at a Berber family's house. After lunch, you will be taken back to Marrakech to arrive at 17:00.
