Path of the 2 monumental oaks and the almond of Quasano

Immersed in wild nature made of vast rocky pastures and dense oak forests stretching as far as the eye can see, a botanical study site on some rare species of wild orchids. The Path of the 2 monumental oaks starts from Quasano, at the gates of the Alta Murgia National Park, hamlet of Toritto (BA), and after saying goodbye to the Tree of Lies, we will enter the oak grove, along shaded paths we will reach the panoramic point where we can admire the Adriatic Sea, the centuries-old Oak La Gloria and the ancient Jazzo Lamadenza among green expanses, where a stone cistern is habitat for amphibians and dragonflies. In this transhumance place, one immediately felt the sensation of retracing the steps of the people who lived here a few centuries ago, where besides the shepherds and flocks of sheep, there are large wild mammals, birds of prey, less common reptiles, edible plants, aromatic herbs, and the prized Mandorla di Toritto, a typical local product to taste.
