Las Coloradas are the place of the production of a daily basic condiment, salt. Salt was extremely important in the Mayan culture for the preservation of the food as well as a nutritional need. Important information: From July 19 to August 19, 2023, due to the beginning of the salt harvest, the pink tone of Las Coloradas is much lower and you will not be able to appreciate the characteristic color of this area.
