The north district of Capitol Reef National Park is better known as Cathedral Valley and is famous for monolithic cathedrals of Sandstone that rise hundreds of feet into the sky. Diverse geological wonders abound throughout the different sections of the valley, keeping first time visitors on the edge of their seat. Early in the tour we cross the Fremont River at “River Ford” on our way to the amazing mars-like landscape of the Bentonite Hills.
