Montaña de Colores, also known as Vinicunca or Rainbow Mountain, is a stunning natural landscape in the Peruvian Andes, famous for its layers of vibrant colors, created by minerals and sediments. A unique destination that offers spectacular views and an unforgettable experience. Maximum elevation: approx. 5,200 m above sea level. Distance: approx. 3–4 km round trip. Elevation gain: approx. 400–500 m, depending on the starting point. Terrain: mountain trail with steep slopes, rocks, mud, ice, or snow. Recommended: hiking boots, warm, layered clothing, a raincoat, gloves, a hat, sunscreen, and water. Due to the altitude, it is recommended that you acclimate to Cusco beforehand.
