After descending toward Sengokuhara, the day finishes with lunch and an onsen. The ascent takes about 90 minutes and gains roughly 500 metres. The ridge walk continues for about 2.5 hours through bamboo grass and seasonal scenery before descending to Togendai. Travel from Hakone-Yumoto to the trailhead is by local bus.
