Discover the wild beauty of Yala National Park, one of Sri Lanka’s most famous wildlife destinations and a fantastic place to see leopards, elephants, sloth bears, crocodiles, buffalo, deer, monkeys, and diverse birdlife. Explore Yala’s dry forests, grasslands, lagoons, wetlands, and scenic landscapes in a safari jeep accommodating up to 6 passengers. Choose a 4-hour morning or evening safari with water; a 7-hour safari with water and breakfast; or a full-day safari with water, breakfast, and lunch. During the full-day safari, the park is closed from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM in accordance with Department of Wildlife regulations. During this two-hour break, leave the park and enjoy lunch at Patalangala Beach or Parana Thotupala (Old Ferry Point) river area. After 2:00 PM, return to the park and continue your wildlife adventure. Wildlife sightings are not guaranteed, but every safari offers an exciting opportunity to experience Yala’s nature in its natural habitat.
