Yala National Park shared Safari Jeep Tours
Yala National Park is one of Sri Lanka’s most famous wildlife destinations, located in the southeast. It is renowned for its Sri Lankan leopards and is also home to elephants, sloth bears, crocodiles, water buffalo, spotted deer, wild boar, golden jackals, monkeys, and many bird species. The park features dry forests, grasslands, lagoons, wetlands, rocky areas, and coastal landscapes, creating diverse habitats for wildlife. Early morning and late afternoon are generally ideal for wildlife viewing. Safaris are enjoyed by 4×4 jeep with an experienced driver-guide. During a full-day safari, the park closes from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM according to park regulations. This break is mandatory. Guests must leave the park and have lunch at Patalangala Beach or Parana Thotupala (Old Ferry Point) by the river. The safari resumes after 2:00 PM.
