Blackberry Mountain

A mountain resort on a 5,200-acre estate in the Great Smoky Mountains, rising above Miller's Cove in Walland, Tennessee, about 30 minutes from Knoxville's McGhee Tyson Airport. It was opened in 2019 by the family behind its sister property, Blackberry Farm, and 2,800 acres of the land are set aside for conservation. Guests stay in stone cottages near the Lodge, treehouses in the forest canopy, reclaimed-wood Watchman Cabins at the summit beside the Firetower restaurant and a heated outdoor soaking pool, or multi-bedroom Azalea Gap and Mountain Homes, each with a golf cart for getting around. More than 36 miles of hiking and biking trails run from sunny ridgetops to damp creek hollows, with guides on the property and into the Smokies, and there is fly fishing, horseback riding, a ropes course, indoor climbing, a pond with paddleboards and kayaks, the Nest spa with an infinity-edge pool, and the Three Sisters and Firetower restaurants. The nightly rate covers meals from dinner on arrival to breakfast on departure, morning wellness classes and a guided morning hike; stays have a three-night minimum. Booked for you by an affiliated travel advisor.
