Jicaro Island Private Getaway

A private island of nine tree-house casitas in the Granada isletas of Lake Nicaragua, a fifteen-minute boat ride from Asese port with Mombacho volcano ten minutes across the water. Each casita is a private two-storey dwelling under the rainforest trees, an airy bedroom upstairs and a spacious living area below, kept cool by cross-ventilation, ceiling fans and shade rather than air conditioning, on a single-use-plastic-free island with a resident nature guide for the howler and spider monkeys, turtles and birds around it. Up to 21 guests in all; a whole-island stay for one party is also offered. Independently owned and run by the Cayuga Collection. Booked for you by an affiliated travel advisor.
