Le Jardin Malanga
A wooden Creole house from 1927 above the village of Trois-Rivières, on the slope of La Soufrière volcano in the south of Basse-Terre, set in a six-hectare former banana plantation and a tropical garden. The house holds a family suite and two triple rooms, and three wooden cottages with hammock terraces stand nearby, looking out to sea and the Les Saintes archipelago. An infinity pool faces the same view; breakfast is served on the terrace of Le Panga, and dinner is the chef's single set menu of Creole and French cooking, by reservation. La Soufrière, the botanical garden, waterfalls, canyoning and diving in the Cousteau reserve are among the excursions the hotel books, and the Carbet Falls are 30 minutes away. Booked for you by an affiliated travel advisor.
