San Ignacio Gray Whales and Swim with Whale Sharks
A brief overlap of seasons lets one trip take in both of Baja's most extraordinary encounters: whale sharks in La Paz and gray whales in San Ignacio Lagoon. It begins with a naturalist guided humpback whale watching safari in Cabo San Lucas, then a transfer to La Paz for a four night hotel stay: two days of whale shark day trips by panga, snorkelling with sea lions at San Rafaelito, free time in La Paz, and a last day of kayaking, Balandra beach or UNESCO Isla Espiritu Santo and its sea lion colony. A private flight then goes to San Ignacio Lagoon for three nights of glamping and the gray whale encounters.
