Barefoot Kuata Island Resort

The closest Yasawa island resort to Nadi and Denarau, about two hours on the morning ferry, on Kuata Island inside a marine sanctuary set up with the indigenous landowners. A white sand beach with coral gardens off it, a restaurant, a bar, a dive centre and a swimming pool. It is known for snorkelling and diving with sharks: a resident school of white tip and black tip reef sharks at Moia Reef, 20 minutes by boat, and a shark dive at Yakawe Reef for certified and first-time divers. Rooms are fan-cooled bures on the beach and in the garden, and treehouse-style hillside dorms. Booked for you by an affiliated travel advisor.
