Barefoot Manta Island Resort
A small island resort on Drawaqa in the Yasawas, a one-minute boat ride from a narrow channel where reef manta rays feed from May to October; guided manta snorkels follow a daily briefing, six guests to a guide, and no touching. The resort lies in a marine protected area set up with the indigenous landowners and runs its own Marine Conservation Centre, with three full-time local marine biologists, free daily talks, marine biology tours and conservation dives. Rooms are fan-cooled beachfront bures and a beach dorm; the morning ferry from Denarau arrives before lunch. Booked for you by an affiliated travel advisor.
