Dantica Cloud Forest Lodge

Twelve bungalows and suites with floor-to-ceiling windows on a 20 hectare private reserve of oak cloud forest at 2,600 metres in the valley of San Gerardo de Dota, bordering Los Quetzales National Park. Almost five kilometres of trails, open only to guests, lead down through primary forest to a mountain stream, and the lodge's own guide leads early walks for the Resplendent Quetzal. Le Tapir restaurant cooks with herbs from the lodge's garden, beside a gallery of Latin American indigenous art. Booked for you by an affiliated travel advisor.
