Kuyana Amazon Lodge

A family-run boutique lodge of thirteen rooms and cabins for at most 22 guests on the Hollín River near Archidona, three and a half hours by road from Quito, in 30 hectares of protected rainforest with a small island where the Ushpayacu stream meets the river. Every room opens onto the forest through a private terrace, over 70% of what the kitchen serves comes from nearby Quechua families and the lodge's own gardens, and the reserve's own trails give a dawn birdwatching walk, a chain of waterfalls and a guided night walk, with rafting, a canoe lagoon and Quechua community visits beyond it. Booked for you by an affiliated travel advisor.
