Rabot Hotel from Hotel Chocolat
An adults-only hotel of 25 open-air lodges on the Rabot Estate near Soufrière, the 140-acre cacao farm Hotel Chocolat bought in 2006 and has turned into an organic farm, set in rainforest about 1,000 feet above the sea and looking toward the Pitons. The lodges have no air conditioning, cooled by the breeze and ceiling fans, and each has its own open-sky rainforest shower; the Luxe Lodges add a verandah facing Petit Piton. The room rate includes breakfast for two, homemade chocolates and cookies and a Velvetiser hot chocolate machine in the room, and a complimentary shuttle twice a day to Malgretoute beach, ten minutes away. Stays of three nights or more include the Tree to Bean tour of the estate's cacao farm, and stays of four or more a half-hour spa treatment for two and a discounted Bean to Bar session.
