Black Rock Lodge

An off-grid eco-lodge of twenty cabins on a 250 acre property on the banks of the Macal River in the Maya Mountains of western Belize, across the river from Don Elijio Panti National Park and at the end of a seven-mile dirt road south of San Ignacio. It runs on solar and hydro power, and the kitchen cooks from the lodge's own farm. The cabins have en-suite bathrooms, hammocks on the veranda and views of Black Rock Canyon and the river. The lodge keeps its own guides for birding (320 species recorded on and near the property), caves, Maya sites and the ATM cave, and on site there are miles of hiking trails, a bird tower, guided night hikes, canoes and kayaks, river tubing over the Black Rock waterfall, a spring-fed pool, a yoga palapa, and a restaurant and bar above the river. Booked for you by an affiliated travel advisor.
