A Pantanal farm lodge at km 10 of the Transpantaneira near Poconé, where the Pantanal road begins, about 100 km from Cuiabá. Its own Pantaneiro guides lead the outings: a boat across the Baía do Piuval to an island where a 450-metre boardwalk ends at a 15-metre observation tower facing a nesting colony of cormorants, egrets and spoonbills (June to October), rides on Pantaneiro horses across flooded ground, two-hour photo safaris by truck in the morning, the afternoon and at night, and four trails through acuri palm forest, one with its own tower.
