SouthWild Pantanal Lodge

A lodge of 15 air-conditioned rooms on the forested bank of the Pixaim River, 2.5 km off the Transpantaneira in the northern Pantanal, run by the wildlife travel company SouthWild and designed for naturalists and photographers: the rooms have large work tables, adjustable office chairs, plenty of outlets, Wi-Fi and hot showers. In the evening its Ocelot Experience, about 400 metres from the lodge, shows wild ocelots at five to eight metres in good light. A 12-metre tower 150 metres away looks across at an active Jabiru nest, a 16-metre tower stands in the gallery forest, Black-and-gold Howler Monkeys can be watched at eye level, more than four kilometres of trails run through the forest, and since 2026 there are two-hour boat outings on the Cassange River. Buffet meals of regional cooking are served in a screened dining room, and there is a riverside pool. Booked for you by an affiliated travel advisor.
